The Journal of the Arnold Schoenberg Center presents selected papers of the symposium held at the Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna in October 2017 which was open to thematically unrelated submissions on Arnold Schönberg and topics related to him.
The conferenceorganized in cooperation with the department of Musicology and Performance Studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna was attended by speakers from six countries, whose contributions represent a broad spectrum of current research projects. These range from cultural-historical, source-oriented and analytical approaches right up to questionsof performance as well as Schönberg reception.
