Ludwig van Beethoven spent the summers of 1818 through 1820 in Mödling, where he enjoyed the rural seclusion and tranquility. Two hundred years later, Schönberg followed in his footsteps, living in the town until 1925. At this year’s serenade concert, chamber music and songs by both composers will be performed in the historic rooms of the Schönberg House – Viennese Classicism meets Viennese Modernism.
