Repetition mania, repetition frenzy – this is how the title of a whole series of chamber music works by Thomas Wally can be freely translated into English. The concept of “loops” has accompanied the composer since his youth, and here it materializes for the first time in the soundscape of his own ensemble. The program is complemented by Schönberg’s String Quartet No. 2, a modernist icon that has since become a classic itself.
