Richard DÜNSER 3. Streichquartett »… und stille, den Schatten gleich …«; canta en el viento frío for String Trio
Joseph HAYDN Streichquartett Es-Dur op. 33/2
Arnold SCHÖNBERG Streichquartett Nr. 3 op. 30

Poetry plays an important role in Richard Dünser’s works. The title of his String Quartet comes from a line of Friedrich Hölderlin’s “An die Hoffnung” [To Hope], while his String Trio – subtitled “singe im eisigen Wind” [sing in the icy wind] – was inspired by a poem by Pablo Neruda. Placed alongside these atmospherically dense soundscapes, Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet “The Joke” provides a lighthearted contrast. Schönberg’s substantial Opus 30, a milestone in the history of the genre in the 20th century, completes the concert.

Richard Dünser's new CD with the Ineo Quartet “... und stille, den Schatten gleich ...” will be presented during the concert.
