In expectation of her lover, a woman sets out in search of him and follows wrong trails to stations of uncertainty – remembrance – hope – jealousy – sorrow – and finally excessive exaltation of the man.

In the virtual reality game based on Arnold Schönberg’s monodrama “Erwartung,” you are the main character roaming the forest. Experiencing the opera becomes an intense emotional gaming adventure in a rendered 360° VR world, where the plot is driven forward by interactive moments. Schönberg’s highly expressionistic music can be directly experienced in a new way and the audience gets the possibility to actively participate.
