Arnold SCHÖNBERG Drei Klavierstücke op. 11
Free admission | Online reservation
It is impossible to imagine international concert life without the personality and music of Arnold Schönberg. His influence on the history of music is unmistakable and undeniable. How can one approach this music? How can one understand Schönberg’s work? Gerold Gruber explains the music of the composer using the Three Piano Pieces, op. 11, as an example. Since Schönberg’s thinking is so multifaceted and equally embraces musical, textual, and creative works, a series of digressions will examine other compositions as comparable pieces of music.
5.30 pm: Curator’s tour with Eike Feß
through the exhibition “Composition with Twelve Tones. Schönberg’s Reorganization of Music” (reservation required)
