Vienna’s geographical position and the history of the Habsburg Empire have given the city a special role in the relationship with its Eastern neighbors. Starting with Schönberg and Dvořák, we set off on a musical journey that takes us to Kyiv and Alexander Shchetynsky, who – like so many other Ukrainian creatives – is currently living in great suffering. This music is intended as a sign of respect and reconciliation, as well as hope that the conflict will soon come to an end.
