The theme of the symposium on the occasion of Arnold Schönberg's 150th birthday will focus on forms of Schönberg reception and adaptation across the entire spectrum of popular music. Scholarly lectures on all genres of popular music (jazz, rock, metal, video games, etc.) will address both musical reception and reformulation as well as the interaction with Arnold Schönberg as a historical figure.
The symposium will be streamed live on facebook and YouTube and will be available for seven days afterwards.
