Erwin Schulhoff and Leo Smit are among the composers of the early 20th century whose lives and careers came to a violent end as a result of the Nazi oppression of Europe. Günter Raphael survived, but after the war was unable to continue his early successes. The study of flute sonatas by these artists led the two musicians on a journey of discovery to forgotten composers. In the process, they encountered the Viennese Carl Frühling, who died in poverty in 1937 and who would soon have been threatened with a similar fate due to his Jewish origins. The concert recalls the European music of that time with a diverse and varied program.

The concert will be streamed live on facebook and YouTube.
