Carl Ebert--German-born, naturalized American opera producer and administrator. He worked as an actor in Germany (1915-1927). He was professor and head of the opera school at the University of Southern California (1948-1954). He was the general administrator of the Städtische Oper in West Berlin (1954-1961) which performed Moses und Aron in 1957.
